Fr. Cannio’s New Book Unveiled at St.
Edmund’s
The Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross proved a most fitting
occasion for the unveiling of All I Have Is Them (Flora and Fauna),
the latest book by Fr. Cannio Cardozo, completing his inspiring
trilogy. The event was held on September 14th at St. Edmund’s
Parish, North Vancouver, following the 11:00 a.m. Holy Mass.
The honour of unveiling the book was entrusted to Fr. Steny
Mascarenhas, Pastor of St. Edmund’s, with the event graciously
facilitated by Fr. Jeevan D’Almeda.
In his address, Fr. Cannio began with the words: “Thank you, God,
for blessing me much more than I deserve.” He expressed gratitude to
Rev. Fr. Silvestre D’Souza, Provincial Superior of the Karnataka-Goa
Province, for granting the required permissions and for presenting
the book with a foreword. He also acknowledged with appreciation
Rev. Fr. Alexander Braganza, Provincial Delegate to Canada, for his
constant support.
Fr. Cannio further extended heartfelt thanks to Fr. Lawrence D’Mello,
Fr. Ivan D’Souza, and Fr. Rathan Nicholas Almeida for their generous
time and valuable suggestions. He also appreciated his community
members, Fr. Steny Mascarenhas and Fr. Jeevan D’Almeda, for their
encouragement.
Finally, he offered special thanks to the parishioners of St.
Edmund’s, whose presence and support made the occasion truly
memorable.
