New facelift - St Mary’s Church, Hegde Nagar
The altar of St. Mary's Church was blessed and consecrated on September 15, 2023, the feast day of Our Lady of Sorrows. The altar has been modified and aesthetically refurbished. At 5:30 p.m., His Grace, Most Rev. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore, officiated over the Holy Mass. In his motivational homily, he urged the congregation to emulate our Blessed Mother's example of following Jesus despite her challenges and difficulties. Before the final blessing, the archbishop blessed the newly erected tabernacle and handed over the key to the Parish priest. A significant number of priests and faithful attended the celebration. Fr. Boniface D'Souza, the parish priest, thanked each and every donor, sponsor, and well-wisher for their generosity. Everyone was offered snacks and soft drinks at the conclusion of the mass.
