Fr Venil is appointed as the Pastor of St Mark’s Church
Rev. Fr. Venil D’souza was solemnly appointed and installed as Pastor at St. Mark’s Catholic Church - Calgary on September 26th. Rt. Rev. Bishop William T. McGrattan arrived at the Church at 11.45 and went through the preparations of this ceremony and greeted all present at the Church. Then the solemn mass began at 12 noon. Fr. Rudolf V. D’Souza read out the letter of appointment and during the homily the bishop insisted that a Pastor is the good Shepherd after the example of Christ himself and highlighted the duties and obligations of the pastor towards the Diocese and the people of God. After the homily various formalities of the installation of the pastor were followed and at the end of the Mass Bishop congratulated Fr. Venil and thanked all the parishioners.
