ARCHBISHOP OF GOA VISITS SANTA MARIA DELLA SCALA, ROME
October 19, 2014 Sunday: Most Rev Filipe Neri Ferrao, Archbishop-Patriarch of Goa along with his secretary Fr Joaquim Loiola Pereira and other two priest students who are pursuing their higher studies in Rome paid a fraternal visit to our community at Scala, Rome. Rev Fr Ivan Pinto, Rector of the community welcomed the Archbishop. After which the entire community friars greeted the Archbishop. Later he visited our Church and the historic pharmacy which became the official Pope’s pharmacy and became known all over the world. The community is delighted and appreciated the fraternal and friendly visit of the Archbishop. We are indeed glad that the community has one priest student Fr Caitano from the archdiocese of Goa who is pursuing his licentiate in Ecumenism and Dialogue. Before bidding good bye, he invoked the blessings of the Almighty through a small prayer on all the community members.
