First Holy Communion at Infant Mary Church
Bajjodi
Ten angels of the parish welcomed our Saviour,
Lord Jesus Christ into their hearts for the
first time, with utmost love and devotion on the
22nd of November in the presence of the parish
clergy, parents and well-wishers after having
waited eagerly for this memorable day to become
one with Jesus.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by
Fr. Rovel Dsouza and concelebrated by Parish
Priest Fr. Ivan Dsouza, Companion Priests Fr.
Patrick Lobo, Fr. Rayan Pinto and 6 other guest
priests. Fr. Rayan Pinto preached an inspiring
homily. The Church choir facilitated the
congregation to take active part in the liturgy
through their melodious singing. The whole
liturgy was conducted by the children who
received First Holy Communion. The joy of
welcoming Jesus into their hearts and renewing
their Baptismal promises was evident in the
cherubic smiles of the children. Towards the end
of the Mass, Rev. Fr. Ivan Dsouza thanked the
teachers for catechising the first communicants.
He also thanked all those present for this
special occasion. All children who received the
First Holy Communion were presented with the
Scapular, Rosary and the New Testament.
We congratulate these ten angels of our parish
for successfully achieving another religious
milestone in their journey of faith.
