ICYM VARSHIK DIVAS CELEBRATION AT INFANT MARY CHURCH, BAJJODI.
ICYM varshik divas (Annual Day) was celebrated by the youth of ICYM Bajjodi unit on 17th November, 2019 at Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi. On the occasion of the year of youth, the unit celebrated its Very First ICYM varshik divas, a celebration of 5 years of youthful togetherness in Bajjodi Parish. The day began with the Eucharistic Celebration (Thanksgiving mass) at 9.15am. Fr. Joseph Cyril D'souza was the main celebrant. Parish Priest Fr. Ivan D'souza and Fr. Patrick Lobo con celebrated the mass. The liturgy and choir were lead by the youth. The mass was followed by a youth get-together at 10.30am, organised by ICYM Animator Mr. Deepak Albuquerque and coordinator Sr. Roopa. They had conducted various fun filled games making the day an enjoyable one for all the youth. The youth involved themselves in all the games with full zeal and enthusiasm. The get together came to an end at 11.45am with distribution of special memento to all the youth, sponsored by Sr. Roopa. Refreshments were served (sponsored by Santhosh Caterers).

In the evening, the Annual day programme that was organised by the youth began at 6.00pm by invoking God’s blessings through a prayer dance by Seema and group. Ms. Pranitha Pinto escorted the guests to the Dais and welcomed the gathering. Fr. Ashwin Lohith Cardoza, the chief guest of the programme, addressed the gathering on how the youth serve as a strong foundation in the church community and appreciated the dedication of youth towards betterment of church. Fr. Deep Fernandes, the guest of honour said in his speech that he was very happy to be remembered by the youth as he was the ex-director. He congratulated all the youth for their enthusiasm, team spirit and active involvement. The host of the programme Fr. Ivan Dsouza, addressed the gathering and highly appreciated the youth. He said that it was their enthusiasm and efforts that made this day possible. He congratulated them and motivated them with wonderful words of wisdom.

During the stage programme, the ex- youth members of ICYM Bajjodi were honoured with a token of appreciation for the dedicated service in ICYM . Ms. Rishal Renjal, convenor of the programme delivered the vote of thanks. Ms Asuntha Fernandes compered the stage programme. The sponsors of the programme were presented a moment as a token of gratitude. The cultural programme was compered by Mr. Kreethan. It was indeed the power of youth bringing out their talents through dances, skits, funny dance, songs and mando The ICYM Varshik divas concluded at 9.pm with ICYM Anthem that was followed by baila.
