Two Cloistered Nuns, Make their Solemn Profession in Discalced Carmelite Order
Nov. 21, 2025 was a red-letter day as two juniors: Sr. Anjali Maria and Sr. Hemangini Maria made their solemn profession on the day of the Presentation of Our Lady & Pro Orantibus Day. It was a beautiful celebration with two Bishops officiating: Bp. Seby, Bishop of Baroda and Abp. Thomas Macwan of Gandhinagar who played a key role in the life of Sr. Hemangini – helping her receive the sacraments after her conversion experience; there were about 15 priests including Fr. Prakash D’Cunha who came as a delegate of Fr. Provincial. After the final prayer Fr. Prakash wonderfully addressed the gathering and felicitated the Sisters on behalf of Fr. Provincial.
