Arokiamary’s
Final commitment in Carmel
May 25, 2021 Tuesday, the Cloistered Carmel
of Bengaluru had the reason to celebrate and
rejoice in spite of the lockdown as Sr
Arokiamary made her Solemn Profession in the
Order of Carmel through the evangelical vows.
The celebration was witnessed by limited
invitees due to the covid restrictions. The Holy
Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr Pius James
D’Souza, Provincial Superior along with Fr.
Prakash D’Cunha, Provincial Councillor and Fr
Vinod Lobo, Provincial Secretary. Fr Provincial,
in his homily, invited the sisters to abide in
the love of Jesus as the “love of Jesus” is the
only reason for a life in the Cloister. It is
through our covenantal relationship that we are
united to the Lord. After the homily, Sr
Arokiamary pronounced her vows in the hands of
Mother Prioress followed by placing the black
veil and wreath on the head of Sr Arokiamary and
thus the Prioress welcomed her as a permanent
member of Christ the King monastery. The liturgy
was animated by Fr Prakash D’Cunha and the
sisters through their singing added spiritual
flavor to the celebration. The K. G. Province
congratulates Sr Arokiamary for her final YES to
the Lord and accompanies her through fraternal
and prayerful support.
