Priestly Silver Jubilee of Fr. Melwin D’cunha and Fr. Prasanna Kumar celebrated at Bajjodi
The Ordination Silver Jubilee of Fr Melvin D’cunha and Fr. Prasanna Kumar was celebrated at Infant Mary Church. The solemn thanksgiving Holy Eucharistic celebration was at 6pm at the Infant Mary Church on Monday, March 22, 2022 wherein Superior of St. Joseph’s Monastery, Carmel hill Fr. Charles Serrao, Parish Priest Fr. Ivan D'souza, Fr. Rayan Pinto, Fr. Stephen Lobo, Fr. Shabas Crasta joined Fr. Melwyn and Fr. Prasanna in thanking the Almighty for the numerous blessings received during the last 25 years of their priesthood. Fr Charles Serrao, preached a befitting homily.

The solemn Eucharistic celebration was followed by a felicitation programme in the Parish Mini Hall. Mr. Aloysious Dsouza anchored the felicitation ceremony. The programme began with a prayer by Fr. Ivan D'souza. Vice President, Mr. Prakash Saldanha extended a cordial welcome to all the dignitaries and the guests. Secretary, Mrs. Irene Pinto gave a brief flash back of the Jubilarians. Rev. Fr Shabas Crasta and Fr. Patrick Lobo raised the toast. The dignitaries felicitated Fr Melvin D’cunha & Fr. Parasanna Kumar with a shawl, fruits, Memento and garland after which there was Cake cutting as the music played congratulating the Jubilarians. The choir group sang wishing them on this special occasion.

Mrs. Meena Pinto proposed the vote of Thanks. Fr Melvin D’cunha and Fr. Prasanna kumar in their thanksgiving message said that God has been very kind and generous to them all through their lives. They thanked the Parish Team and parishioners and the community Fathers for the love they expressed in organising the programme. They also thanked the parishioners for being present in such large numbers. Refreshments were served to all present The members of different organizations wished the Jubilarians. Nearly 200 parishioners were present for the occasion. The programme ended at 8.30 pm
