Silver Jubilee of Provincial’s Priestly Ordination @ Sadbhavana
On the 29th of June 2023, on the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul, the Sadbhavana Community, along with the friars of the Bengaluru region, the Correspondents and Principals of our Schools, and the friars associated with the Social Apostolate, celebrated the Silver Jubilee of the Ordination of our Provincial. Fr Silvestre D'Souza, presided over the thanksgiving Eucharist, along with his companion Fr Wilfred Frank and other Carmelite Friars. Fr Joachim Rodrigues delivered a poignant homily. Following the mass, there was a brief felicitation programme, which was animated by Fr Prakash D'Cunha, Fr Alphonse Britto raised the toast, and Fr Pius James D'Souza, Definitor General, greeted the jubilarians with a bouquet of flowers. Fr Provincial concluded by expressing his thankfulness to God and the entire Province.

To coincide with the jubilee celebration, a meeting of all the Correspondents and Principals of our Mount Carmel School was held on June 29th at 8:45 a.m. Mr Vincent Concessao, retired Deputy Labour Commissioner, Government of Karnataka, updated our friars on labour laws and numerous issues concerning school administration during the morning session. They had a meeting in the afternoon with the Provincial on the proper agenda. A gathering of all the friars involved in the Social Apostolate was held on June 30th.
