COME AND SEE! Inauguration of Orientation Course
19th June 2022 was a historical day for the Karnataka- Goa Province as it inaugurated the orientation Course at Avila Jyothi Mapusa. The inaugural Holy Eucharist was at 8-15 am, officiated by Rev. Fr. George Santhumayor, the Provincial Superior of the Karnataka Goa Province along with the con-celebrants Frs. Vinod Lobo the Secretary, Ivo Dias the Superior of Avila Jyothi Seminary, Macson Dabre the Director, Jason Couthino and Walter Lobo. With the lighting of the lamp, by Fr. Provincial along with Fr. Ivo Dias, Br. Jackson Crasta representing the students, Mr. Glen Nunes the OCDS member, Miss Eulaliya Pinto, the teacher and Fr. Macson Dabre, the course was officially inaugurated. Rev. Fr. Provincial in his homily spoke about the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and in our personal lives. Fr. Ivo Dias expressed the Vote of thanks towards the end of the mass. Fr. Provincial also acknowledged and thanked the formative team for accompanying these young minds and wished them well for the new academic year. After the Eucharistic celebration Fr. Provincial addressed the candidates and asked them to be friends of Jesus by spending more time with His presence; he also motivated them and congratulated them for taking a bold step in their lives. This year God has blessed our Province with 10 vocations, we pray that they may persevere in their vocation experiencing Jesus in the footsteps of our Heavenly Mother of Carmel and the Carmelite Saints.
