Solemnity of Mother of Carmel @ Asha Deepa
On July 17, 2023, at 5:30 p.m., the community of Asha Deepa, Madanthyar celebrated the solemnity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel with great devotion and delight. Their joy was heightened by the presence of many priests from our deanery and OCD priests from the Mangaluru region, as well as religious sisters and a significant number of Our Lady of Mount Carmel devotees. The main celebrant at the mass was Rev. Fr. Stany Goveas, the parish priest of Sacred Heart Church, Madanthyar, who in his sermon emphasized the reality of the Scapular's redeeming nature and Mother Mary's protection through her son, Jesus our Lord. The scapulars were blessed and distributed following communion. The devotees were served refreshments. Dinner was served to the priests and nuns.
