Triduum & Mount Carmel Feast at Carmel Ashram, Koteshwar
Despite pouring rain, faithful flocked to Carmel Ashram, Katkere, Kundapur to attend three days of retreat preached by Bro. Prakash D’Souza from Bandra Mumbai. At the end of each day a Mass in commemoration of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was celebrated and a novena was prayed in her honour. This solemn triduum was followed by the celebration of the feast of our Lady of Mount Carmel on 16th of July at 5pm. Rev. Fr. Roshan Menezes OFM Cap, Episcopal Vicar of Religious of Udupi Diocese presided over the Eucharist and preached a soulful homily. Fr. Stany Tauro wished all a happy feast and congratulated the Carmel Ashram Community for their generosity to avail themselves for spiritual ministry in the deanery. The donors were honoured before the Eucharist and a meal was served to all the faithful towards the end. Scapulars were blessed and distributed to all the faithful. The Carmelite Family, members of the Secular Order and the Parishioners of Koteshwar helped in the arrangements for all four days.
