MOUNT CARMEL FEAST @ AVILA JYOTHI, MAPUSA
The Solemnity of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was celebrated on the 17th of July at Avila Jyothi. The solemn mass was at 8:15 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Fantino Pereira. The superior Fr. Ivo Dias broke the Word of God for the congregation highlighting the role of Mother Mary in the life of a believer. After the mass, scapulars were distributed to the faithful and the new grotto dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel was blessed by Fr. Ivo. He also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Jaffer and family for sponsoring the grotto. The architects Mr. Tyron and his wife Mrs. Joyce were felicitated with a bouquet of flowers and the role of Sr. Carmen Dabre in finding a benefactor for the project was acknowledged.
