Eight Postulants Enter Novitiate in Tanzania
On July 19, 2022 the vestition ceremony of the
eight postulants was held during the vespers at
Malisho, Carmelite Novitiate community,
Tanzania. Rev. Fr Praveen Frank OCD, the
Regional Vicar presided over the rite of
vestition and initiated them to the novitiate.
There are altogether 8 postulants who entered
the novitiate on the eve of the feast of Prophet
Elijah, the inspirer of the Order. Out of the 8
novices, four are from Tanzania, two from Malawi
and one each from Zambia and Sri Lanka. After
the vestition rite, the patents of Fr Reginald
Mworia as the Superior of Novitiate community
and Fr Roshan Pinto as the Novice Master were
read. Before the supper the outgoing novices
welcomed the new novices with a wishing song.
The Vicariate wishes them a blessed year to
experience the life of a religious in the garden
of Carmel and at the same time we offer our
fraternal support and prayerful assistance to
the Superior and the Novice Master who will
shoulder the responsibility in forming these
young novices in the Carmelite way of life.
