Triple Celebrations at Sadbhavana
July 8, 2021 is a red-letter day in the life of Sadbhavana as the Bengaluru region friars along with the Provincial Councillors celebrated the 55th Birthday of Fr Pius James D’Souza, Provincial; the silver jubilee of the Priestly Ordination of Fr Melvin D’Cunha and Seventy glorious years of the Religious Profession of Fr Paul D’Souza. The celebration began with the thanksgiving Eucharist at 7-00 pm presided over by Fr Provincial. Fr George Santhumayor, the first Councillor gave a meaningful reflection on the Word of God. The liturgy was animated by Fr Prakash D’Cunha and the choir was led by Frs. Ajith Rodrigues, Roshan Lobo and Sandeep Goveas.

After the mass a short felicitation programme followed in the dining hall. Fr Wilfred Frank with plenty of good humour raised the toast. He highlighted the qualities of the trio and presented each with a small memorial card that placed his speech on record. As the cake was cut, those present with one voice sang the song of congratulations and Happy Birthday. Fr Provincial thanked the friars, recalling all the members of the Province and assuring his prayers to all. The audience comprises representatives from Vijayanagar, Geddalahalli, Hegdenagar and Frs. Selva Kumar from Italy, Sandeep Goveas from Kadaganchi, Elias D’Souza from Asha Deepa and the Councillors. The celebration concluded with American housie housie conducted by Fr Vinod Lobo and the jubilee dinner prepared under the leadership of Fr Jerald D’Souza.
