Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel celebrated at BENONI, SOUTH AFRICA.
The feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was celebrated at Benoni on 13 July, three days prior to the actual date. There was an overflowing congregation drawn from the local parishes, together with all six Carmelite priests - Fr Mari Joseph, Fr Arvin Tauro, Fr Boniface D'Souza, Fr John D'Souza, Fr John D'Souza, and Fr Rayan Pais - serving in South Africa. At the Feast Mass nine members made their temporary promises as Secular members of the Discalced Carmelite Order, the first batch of Seculars for this area. Brown Scapulars were blessed and distributed during the celebrations.
