Double Dhamaka at Emploi
The Empoli community had the pleasure of hosting double joyful events: The celebration of 50th anniversary of Religious Profession of Fr. Edwin Alleluia Dinizand the Christmas wing-ding celebration of all the Carmelites of Karnataka-Goa province working and studying in Italy.

The anniversary celebration was held on the 27th of December. The solemn Mass presided over by Fr. Edwin was held at 18.30. Since it was a Sunday, the celebration was attended by a large number of parishioners. Fr. Sunil in his homily spoke about family life and the inspiring life of Fr. Edwin. After the Holy Eucharist there was a felicitation program together with the parishioners. Fr. Edwin thanked all, thanked for his religious life and God’s call. The private celebration continued in our renovated monastery with mouth-watering, sumptuous dinner.

The Christmas bash was held on the 28th of December. The day began with the Holy Eucharist together with the parishioners,presided over by Fr. Sunil. Fr. Edwin in his reflection spoke about silent life of St. Joseph, his inspiration to all of us and on the purpose of the Christmas gathering. After the Holy Eucharist all Friars came together to prepare the meal. The delicious food was prepared under the able leadership of Fr. Elias and Fr. Alphonse. As a perfect end to the gathering we were invited for the dinner at the house our well-wisher. The day was filled with fun and sharing, there was an atmosphere of joy and love.
