MUSEO EBRAICO DI ROMA
On December 15, 2014 the Scala community had a unique privilege of visiting the historical “Museo Ebraico di Roma” (Jewish Museum of Rome). This particular Museum is a unique place to discover the traditions, religion and the history of the Jewish people. The community members were fortunate to see two beautiful synagogues: The Great Synagogue and the Spanish Synagogue. The exclusive opportunity was possible due to the acquaintance of Fr Ivan Pinto with His Excellency Dr Zion Evrony, the ambassador of Israel to the Vatican. The wife of the Ambassador Mrs Rita Evrony was present with us throughout the visit and a special guide was chosen to explain the minutest details of the museum and the synagogue. All of us had an enriching experience after the maiden visit to the Jewish Museum of Rome.
