New Local Council for Our Lady of Mount Carmel OCDS Community, Margao
The triennial elections for the community with its base at Carmelite, Monastery, Margao, were held on 29th of August, 2021. Fr. Deep Fernandes presided and after the process according to the Provincial Statutes was completed, declared the following:
President: Mrs. Elizabeth Santos (re-elected)
Director of Formation: Mrs. Carol Mascarenhas
1st Councillor: Mrs. Rose Mendes
2nd Councillor: Mr. Rodo Pereira
3rd Councillor: Mr. Savio Pereira (re-elected)
The new Local Council made a commitment to work for the welfare and enhancement of the local community, as a team in the presence of all and the two Spiritual Assistant: Frs. Jeevan Tauro and Silvestre D’Souza.
The community at present has:
12 in Definitive Promise
1 in Temporary Promise
7 in Initiation Formation – I
2 Aspirants
Total: 22
