Anticipated B’day of Rev. Fr. Provincial and Releasing of the Festschrift in honor of Fr. Paul
It was a great day as Sadbhavana Community along with all the formators and Superiors of the formative communities celebrated Rev. Fr. Provincial’s anticipated B’day. The Celebration began with a Holy Mass at 6:30 PM. Fr. Provincial Presided over the Eucharist and Rev. Fr. Oswald Crasta preached an inspiring homily. After the mass all gathered in the refectory for the double celebration. Rev. Fr. George Santhumayor spread the carpet of red roses to one and all. Fr. Ronald D’Souza compered the programme with his witty comments and sweet jokes. Festschrift in honor of Fr. Paul for his dedicated teaching career was released after Fr. Pius James D’Souza editor of the script briefed about the work and its purpose. Rev. Fr. Provincial released the festschrift and felicitated Fr. Paul with a shawl, Mysore Peta and a colorful bouquet of flowers. Fr. Paul addressed the gathering in gratitude for all the wonderful things province has done to him and in a special way for honoring him such a noble and genuine expression. Frs. Anil, Jeevan, Praveen, Ligoury and Richard entertained the crowd with a melodious song. Fr. Joe Tauro wished Fr. Provincial on his day on behalf of all the members of the province after which the former provincials namely Fr. Dominic Vas, Fr. Joseph D’Souza and Fr. Archibald Gonsalves felicitated the B’day baby with a shawl, Mysore Peta, and Bouquet of flowers. Fr. Provincial cut the B’day cake which was accompanied by the lively wishing song. Fr. Alfred pleaded for God’s blessings over the food. All enjoyed the sumptuous meal provided by Fr. Jerald, Superior of Sadbhavana.
