Blessing of the Foundation Stone in Kempton
On the 29th of April the foundation stone was laid for the extension of Our Lady of Loreto Church, Kempton after the Eucharist. Fr. Peter Rebello the parish priest gave a scriptural background for the blessing of the foundation stone before he blessed the corner stone for the edifice. He reminded people that Jesus Christ is the high priest and he is the foundation of the Church. He also invited people to contribute to the foundation of the Church by their faith filled lives insisting that the church stands strong on the faith of the people of God. Mrs. Bernice read the word of God from the first letter of St. Peter (2: 4-12). After the intercessory prayers Fr. Peter Rebello placed the medal of St. Joseph and the Scapular on the stone and blessed the stone. After the blessing Fr. Parish Priest thanked Archbishop Buti OMI for his constant support and blessings. Mrs. Pam Bridge was acknowledge for her dedicated service in getting the plan approved by the town council. This projects was handed over to Mrs Denzil Pillay and Lawrence Macmohan. The faithful wished them all the very best to actualize plan and complete the project to the perfection .
