It is love alone that gives worth to all things
These words of our Holy Mother resonate in the ears of her loving children because in Carmel, it is love that moves us. In response to the love shared among the Carmelites, the Community of Mapusa which solemnized their titular feast of St. Teresa of Avila on October 15, 2020, with a loving invitation also welcomed the Communities of Margao and Xellim to celebrate with them. The Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. Silvestre D’Souza, the superior of the Margao Monastery and Fr. Ivo Dias, the superior of Mapusa, Carmelite seminary broke the word of God. The angelic choir and the beautiful liturgy were animated by the seminarians of Mapusa under the guidance of Br. Elston Monteiro. After the mass, the friars gathered for a loving agape after which a volleyball match was organized, in which the Initiation seminarians emerged as victors.
