ANNUAL OCDS MEETING WITH PROVINCIAL DELEGATE in Canada.
Secretariat officers, Molly Diaz and Leslie Blair, met with Provincial Delegate Fr. Jerald D’Souza on September 29 for a curia meeting at St. Edmund’s Parish, North Vancouver BC. There was a briefing and discussion of the past year’s events and future plans were tabled.

The following day, September 30, 2016, they were joined by the Presidents and Directors of Formation of all the communities for the annual meeting. The meeting commenced with Morning Prayer and Mass followed by morning refreshments after which it convened in the basement of the church. The Calgary and Vernon representatives were acknowledged for their sacrifice, time and expense to attend at the Vancouver venue.

Reports were presented by everyone. Community officers were able to share how they conducted their meetings and how they implemented the formation syllabus. Suggestions were made upon which subsequent improvements were made. Of particular importance were plans for the upcoming 2017 elections and feedback on various topics for our Western Canada Statutes.
