Pushpashrama honours its Patroness
Pushpashrama community privileged to honour its
patroness St Therese of Child Jesus on the 1st of
October 2016. It was an auspicious day to celebrate
and rejoice with our patroness for the manifold
blessings that Pushpashrama received through the
intercession of St Therese. The day commenced with
the solemn lauds (Morning Prayer) where the entire
community congregated at the seminary chapel to sing
the praises of God. The festal mass was presided
over by Rev Fr Vincent Fernandes, the rector of
Minor Seminary, Mysore diocese at 11-15am along with
other 16 concelebrants from the neighboring
communities. The religious sisters, Dr Kanthraj and
Family and Mr Joychen and family were the privileged
guests of honour who joined the celebration to
honour the patroness. Rev Fr Vincent in his homily
highlighted the little way and the spiritual
childhood of St Therese and invited all to walk in
the footsteps of St Therese in following the Lord.
The philosophy brothers gave a facelift to the
celebration through their melodious singing and the
creative liturgy. Rev Fr Alfred Menezes, the rector
of Pushpashrama Philosophy College proposed the vote
of thanks and words of appreciation for all the
invites and the close associates of Pushpashrama.
After the Eucharistic celebration all the
participants assembled at the Philosophy College
auditorium, where the brothers invoked the
assistance of Jesus through a harmonious prayer
song. Rev Fr Paul D’ Souza implored the blessings
upon the meal, after which all the friends of
Pushpashrama shared the fellowship meal which was
prepared under the leadership of Fr Joseph Pinto.
Thus the feast day of the patroness became an
opportunity to thank the Lord and at the same time
to share the joy and deepen the friendship with the
close associates of Pushpashrama.
