THE 4TH ANNUAL ELOCUTION COMPETITION
The St. Therese of the Child Jesus OCDS Community, Lar de Santa Terezinha, Pajifond Margao, held its 4th Annual Elocution Competition on October 6, 2024, with the theme "St. Therese: Patroness of the Missions." This event was part of the community's ongoing initiative to foster spiritual education and enhance public speaking skills among students, focusing on the life and mission of St. Therese of Lisieux, revered as the Patroness of Missions.

The program commenced with a warm welcome from Mrs. Ramilla Rodrigues, the President of the community. Rev. Fr. Marlon Rodrigues, Superior of the Carmelite Monastery, officially inaugurated the competition with a prayer and an inspiring address to the attendees.
A total of 13 schools participated, with students from classes VI to IX showcasing their enthusiasm and dedication in preparing for this intellectually and spiritually enriching competition.

The distinguished panel of judges for the event included Sr. Isha Priya, Dr. Rheane Palmira Da Silva, and Mr. Tony Fernandes, who had the challenging task of evaluating the remarkable performances.

After careful deliberation, the following winners were announced:
• First Place: Miss Vensica Antao – St. Theresa's Convent High School, Raia
• Second Place: Miss Janeska Risa Monteiro – Fr. Agnel Multipurpose High School, Verna
• Third Place: Master Reyden Fernandes – Our Lady of Snows High School, Raia

The 4th Annual Elocution Competition was a resounding success, providing students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of St. Therese's mission while honing their public speaking abilities. The event concluded with the distribution of prizes, certificates, and gifts to all participants. A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Conceicao Mendes, who acknowledged the outstanding performances of the participants, the commitment of the judges, and the support of the entire community.
