New OCDS unit at Avila Jyothi, Mapusa
October 3, 2021 is a historical moment for the Avila Jyothi, Carmelite Seminary Mapusa as they inaugurated the new Unit of OCDS members. On this day 20 fresh members having experienced the Carmelite spirituality from the friars of the community came forward to express their willingness and desire to join OCDS. The new unit will be called the St Teresa of Avila community. The Spiritual Assistant Fr Macson Dabre had invited the OCDS communities of Mount Carmel and St Therese of Child Jesus from Margao who shared their experiences as the active members of OCDS. As we rejoice with these 20 members, we wish to accompany them through our prayerful support so that they persevere in their vocation. We also congratulate and express our gratitude to the Avila Jyothi community for this milestone and wish all the best to Fr Macson Dabre, Spiritual Assistant as he guides these members to savour the sweetness of Carmel.
