Admission Ceremony and Renewal of Temporary Promises
On November 4, 2024, the OCDS community at Mira Road celebrated a significant occasion with the admission of new members and the Renewal of Temporary Promises. The ceremony took place in a spirit of joy and devotion as members from the St. Elizabeth of the Trinity and St. Joseph communities gathered for this blessed event.

During the solemn ceremony, five Aspirants and three Novices of the St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Community were officially admitted, marking an important milestone in their spiritual journey with the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites. The St. Joseph Community also welcomed one new Aspirant into their fold, strengthening the bonds of their faith community.

Adding to the day’s grace-filled moments, the renewal of temporary promises highlighted the commitment of current members to their Carmelite vocation. Five members from the St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Community and eight members from the St. Joseph Community renewed their promises, reaffirming their dedication to the Carmelite path and its values of prayer, contemplation, and service.

The ceremony was a beautiful expression of each participant’s commitment to following the call of Christ through the Carmelite charism.
