Postulants Begin their Journey in Carmel
The K.G. Province has a reason to rejoice and thank God for His manifold blessings and graces that we have experienced through the vocations that we receive to our way of life. This year God has blessed the province with 12 new postulants who commenced their journey in the garden of Carmel on 16th of June 2022. The inaugural mass was presided over by Rev. Fr George Santhumayor, OCD Provincial Superior at 7-00 pm along with the community friars and the guest friars namely Frs. Raymond Santhanaz and Noel D’Cunha. During the mass, the 12 brothers were officially initiated into the postulancy and Provincial invited them to fall in love with Jesus and their vocation to Carmel. He asked them to take the example of prophet Elijah who had a burning zeal for the living God. The choir and liturgy were animated by the Postulants. Provincial handed over the Carmelite breviary to the Postulants and gave a clarion call to imitate the life and spirituality of Carmelite saints. Provincial also acknowledged the delicate and committed work of the formative community in forming these young brothers to our way of life. We congratulate these brothers and accompany them and the community through our prayers and fraternal support.
