Laudato Si Sunday Celebrated at Bajjodi
Bajjodi: ICYM Bajjodi unit celebrated 'Laudato si' on Sunday, the 30th of June, 2019 at 8.00am in the church premises. This day is celebrated as per Pope Francis’ appeal to the world through his encyclical “Laudato si” that we must work together to protect our common home the Earth.

The celebration began with a prayer song by the parish youth. Ms. Raveena welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Patrick Lobo was the Chief Guest. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Ivan D’souza, Vice President Mr. Joseph Mascarenhas, Secretary Mrs. Irene Pinto, Animator Mr. Deepak planted saplings and thus expressed love and concern for nature. Fr. Patrick Lobo in his inspiring message highlighted the significance of the day. He urged everyone to join hands for this noble cause and contribute in little ways to curb the destruction of this planet. The youth planted many saplings in and around the church premises. All the parishioners -children and elders involved themselves enthusiastically in planting the saplings in pots.

The celebration came to an end with distribution of free saplings to every family that were provided by the Bishop of Mangalore diocese Most Rev. Peter Paul D'souza.Ms. Heethal expressed the vote of thanks. This programme was compered by Pranitha.
