St. Aloysius Gonzaga Honored at Kitchener, ON, Canada!
The parishioners of St. Aloysius Parish, Kitchener, ON, Canada gathered on Sunday June 25, 2017 to honor its patron St. Aloysius Gonzaga. The Feast Mass at 11am was presided over by Bishop Tonnas, Bishop Emeritus of Hamilton Diocese. His homily was quite simple to follow but very inspiring in message blended with the theme of commitment and trust highlighting the life events of St. Aloysius. Fr. David Avila a parishioner and newly ordained priest concelebrated together with Fr. Jerome Mascarenhas, Pastor and Fr. Roshan D’Souza, Associate Pastor. About 250-300 people participated in the festive Mass. A school girl named Sydney Peplow received First Holy Communion during this mass and certificates were awarded by the Bishop to those kids who attended Sunday school throughout the year. Immediately after this mass, a Luncheon was arranged by the men and women of good will in the parish centre. The climax of this program was the display of Saint John’s Bible with a commentary given by Ms. Bridget. It was a great celebration indeed!
