Ordination of Fr.Nelson Osmand Vas
We are extremely delighted to have another priest to our province in the person of Fr. Nelson Osmand Vas who was ordained on the 30th of May in Our Lady of sorrows church Udupi. Most. Rev. Gerald Isac Lobo Bishop of Udupi anointed him in the presence of almost 50 priests and church-full of devotees. After the Eucharistic celebration there was a felicitation programme in Sheshashayana Hall of Kediuyoor Hotel where all his friends with Carmelite Friars felicitated him and partook in his celestial joy. Rev. Fr. Archibald Gonsalves raised the toast and Fr. George Santhumayor expressed his sentiments of joy on behalf of Provincial who could not be present for this joyous event. His Tanzanian co-friars wished him with a Ki Swahili Song which caught the attention of all the invitees. Fr. Nelson Vas acknowledged everyone who helped him to ascend the altar of God in his thanksgiving.
