Spiritual Activities at Divine Springs
Retreat Centre – June 2025
The month of June 2025 was marked by a series of spiritually
enriching activities at the Divine Springs Retreat Centre, Xellim,
Loliem, Goa. The retreat centre continued to serve as a place of
silence, prayer, and grace for individuals and groups seeking
spiritual renewal.
Three sisters from the Congregation of the Daughters of St. Paul
came for a contemplative retreat, which was preached by Fr. Rovel
D’Souza. The sisters spent quality time in deep prayer and
reflection and returned spiritually strengthened and renewed.
A group of nine lay faithful from Margao attended a two-day retreat
guided by Fr. Rovel D’Souza. The retreat offered moments of silence,
guided meditations, and prayerful reflection, leaving the
participants deeply enriched in their faith journey.
In addition, twenty-eight candidates belonging to the Teresian
Association in Pune participated in their orientation camp at the
centre. The sessions were facilitated by Fr. Joseph D’Souza, who
helped the young candidates to understand their vocation more deeply
and to grow in their commitment.
Two deacons, namely Deacon Peter and Deacon Anthony from the Diocese
of Belgaum, spent a week at the retreat centre in preparation for
their priestly ordination. Their retreat, guided by Fr. Rovel
D’Souza, became a time of grace and discernment.
Furthermore, a contemplative retreat was organized for a group of
nineteen lay participants, who were drawn into deeper intimacy with
God through prayer, silence, and reflection. This retreat too was
preached by Fr. Rovel D’Souza.
According to the retreat calendar, a half-day charismatic retreat
was also conducted by Fr. Joseph D’Souza, Fr. Sunil Monis, and Br.
Alex from Goa, along with their team. Many people attended the
event, which was filled with praise and worship, prayer sessions,
and spiritual input. Participants were deeply blessed. Fr. Sunil
Monis celebrated the Holy Mass and preached a meaningful homily,
thus concluding the retreat.
The Divine Springs Retreat Centre extends heartfelt gratitude to all
benefactors, friends, and well-wishers for their constant prayers
and support, which continue to bear fruit in the lives of all who
visit the centre.
