Commencement of the Common Novitiate Year @ Kurnool Carmel : From 1st June 2025 to 31st May 2026
On the eve of the Solemnity of the Ascension, the Carmel of St Joseph, Kurnool rejoiced with a double blessing—the beginning of the Common Novitiate Year, which beautifully coincided with the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary on 31st May 2025.

With a heartfelt invocation to the Holy Spirit, the novices offered themselves to the maternal care of Mother Mary. Recognizing her as the perfect model of a Carmelite—who pondered the Word of God and treasured it in her heart—they entrusted their formation journey to her. Acknowledging her as a teacher in the life of faith, hope, and charity, each novice symbolically placed herself at Mary’s feet, seeking her guidance in growing to resemble her Son, Jesus, and in following her example through the imitation of her virtues.

The community also lifted prayers of gratitude for the members of the formation house, thanking God for their generous dedication and love. They prayed that the Lord might continue to bless them with the graces necessary to be a living model of prayer and love for all those taking part in the novitiate programme.
