BISHOP OF TRAPANI VISITS SCALA
January 26, 2015: As the Indians celebrated the Republic Day and had the privilege of welcoming Mr Barack Obama, President of USA; the Carmelites of Scala community in Rome had the honour of welcoming His Excellency Most Rev. Pietro Maria Fragnelli, Bishop of Trapani. Fr Wilfred Pais welcomed the Bishop and thanked for his friendly visit to our community which enhanced the joy of the community. After having seen the relic of St Teresa of Avila and the Church, He presided over the Eucharistic celebration and during the homily taking into consideration the rich legacy and the spirituality of the Carmelite Saints invited all to walk in the footsteps of St Teresa of Avila in following Jesus Christ. He was accompanied by two priests of his diocese namely Frs Fabio Agnileri and Alberto Giardina. Trapani is located in Italy and this place is very dear to the Carmelites as we have one famous Saint in the person of Albert of Trapani.
