OUR FRIARS IN THE MEDIA MINISTRY
A new CD of Kannada Psalms named “Keerthanegallu-2” was released here during the Novena Days to Infant Jesus by former MLA Mr. J. R. Lobo. The psalms are tuned by great Musician of our Province Fr. Richard Menezes and CD has been produced by Fr. Wilfred Rodrigues. Christi and Tony Rosario from Mysore have rendered Music for the Album. This album has been recorded and mixed at the Nest Studio, Mysore. Renowned singers from Mysore have sung in this album. This is the second such album Fr. Wilfred has brought out on psalms.

The Multi Media Wing of Dhyanavana Publications has released two more Konkani Albums titled “Tunch Puro Somia” and “Apovn Hadlam Carmelak”. They are 17, 18 albums in the series by Multi Media Wing of DP. Fr. Alwyn Sequeira has set lyrics and tunes and Mr. Joel Pereira and his troupe has rendered Music. There are ten hymns in Tuch Puro Somia useful for liturgy and para liturgical services, whereas 8 songs of Volume 18 were in fact composed for the tableau “Apron Hadlam Carmelak “staged on 3rd Nov 2019 to commemorate 400 years of Carmelite Presence in India here in Carmel Hill Monastery, Mangaluru. For the first time the Multi Media ventured into producing these two albums in the pendrives. Both these albums were recorded in our newly inaugurated Carmel Studio. Rt. Rev. Dr. William D Souza SJ, Archbishop of Patna released these CDs on the first day of the Feast of Infant Jesus.

An anthology of Poems penned by Fr. Richard Menezes titled “ Magadomme Nodidaga” was released on the Jubilee Celebration of Frs. Felix, Lawrence and Peter D Sa here at Carmel Hill on the 2rd of Feb 2020. Fr. Richard has been writing under the pen name “Pedda Richa” in his blog as well as in other magazines. The Dhyanavana Publications has complied and has published this book. Fr. Stifan Pereira the director of Dhyanavana Publications introduced the author and the book and the Jublilarians along with Fr. Provincial Fr. Charles Serrao released the book.
