Carmelites Media Ministry
Carmelites from St. Joseph’s Monastery, Mangaluru have been in the media ministry since seven years. Fr. Pius James being at the helm the then community, with the leadership of Fr. Stephen Pereira our programs were placed in You Tube Channel called Carmel Kiran and in Daijiworld and Divine World TV Channels.

Since then a lot of water has gone under the bridge. We have been able to upload around 400 and odd videos. Since Fr. Alwyn has taken over Carmel Kiran a new studio for audio has been constructed and the existing video studio has been upgraded. A full time staff has been employed and many new experiments are envisaged to promote evangelization through media. Since there is no regular source of income we organized a Tulu drama called “Namaskara Mastre” on the 3rd of February at 6pm at St Agnes Grounds to raise funds for the same. A number of people of good will donated their mite who were dully honoured during the event. Fr. Wilfred Rodrigues welcomed the gathering and gave a summary of our Media work. Fr. Provincial, Fr. Charles Serrao honored Devdas Kapikad the writer and director of the play. Around 800 people enthralled by the performance of the troupe.
