Pushpashrama Shines at Carol Singing
Competitions
On December 1, 2024, the vibrant melodies of Christmas filled the
air as the Mysore Diocese hosted its annual Carol Singing
Competition at St. Philomena's Auditorium. Over 80 groups from
various schools, colleges, parishes, and institutes joined in the
festive spirit, sharing the joyous news of Christ's birth through
song.
Among the enthusiastic participants were the seminarians of
Pushpashrama Institute of Philosophy and Religion. Their spirited
performance, marked by dedication and talent, earned them a
well-deserved first-place trophy in one of the categories.
Undeterred by their success, the seminarians immediately turned
their attention to the upcoming Carol Singing Competition organized
by Carmel Catholic Association at Maharaja College Centenary Hall on
December 8, 2024. Once again, they immersed themselves in rigorous
practice, eager to showcase their musical abilities. Their efforts
were rewarded in both the categories they participated in, securing
the second-place trophies.
The entire Pushpashrama community of friars who provided unwavering
support and encouragement, shared in the joy of these achievements.
May the flame of their dedication to proclaiming the Good News of
Christ continue to burn brightly, inspiring future generations of
Carmelites.
