Triple Celebrations at Ryshivana
On December 14, 2022 St. John of Cross OCDS community of Ryshivana, Ranipura, Mangalore had triple celebrations: Patron's Feast, Annual Day and Christmas Celebration. Fr. Joe Tauro presided over the Solemn Holy Eucharist and the community fathers concelebrated at 6.00 pm, and Fr Taruo delivered a meaningful homily. The OCDS members animated the liturgy actively and brought a variety of kusvar for the offertory procession.

After the Mass, all the OCD Friars and OCDS members gathered in the hall for a cultural get together marked by cake cutting, carols singing, a skit scripted by Fr. Nelson Pinto OCD with a Christmas message, revealing Christmas friends and exchanging gifts. Fr. Archibald Gonsalves, the Superior delivered a brief Christmas message, Mr. Paul D’Souza shared his experience of being an OCDS, Fr. John Lobo prayed the grace over the delicious meals that were cooked by the members in their homes. The entire event was planned and directed by the Spiritual Assistant Fr. Wilfred Rodrigues OCD.
