Breast Cancer Awareness and oral screening camp at Carmel Hill
Infant Jesus shrine medical mission and OCDS, Bikarnakatte, Mangaluru along with A. J.Hospital & research center with the assistance of Indian cancer society organized Breast Cancer Awareness and oral screening camp at Infant Jesus Shrine Hall, Carmel Hill, Mangaluru on 12/12/2019 between 9.00am to 1.00pm.

Rev.Fr. Wilfred Rodrigues, Superior of St. Joseph’s Monastery, Rev.Fr. Prakash DCunha, Director of Infant Jesus Shrine, inaugurated the camp and lauded the efforts of collaborators in bringing about awareness on breast cancer. Firstly, there was an awareness talk. 66 women participated in the camp, raised their doubts & queries regarding breast cancer. The experts clarified the wrong beliefs and made aware of the symptom, causes and treatment for the breast cancer.

Dr.Naveen, Dr.Kavitha, Mrs.B.Lidwin Dsouza, manager from AJ Hospital and a team from oncology department was present. Mrs. Sheila lobo and her team from Indian Cancer Society also added their might in organizing this camp. Mrs. Jessy lobo, the first counselor of OCDS, along with all the OCDS members involved actively in organizing this camp. Dr. Laveena OCDS compared the program.
