‘Carmel Day 2019’ celebrated at Carmel Hill
Mangalore, Dec 07: The Carmelite Friars of the St. Joseph’s
Monastery organized, ‘30th Carmel Day' at Carmel Hill, Bikarnakatte.
Rev. Fr. Charles serrao, Provincial of KG Province, was the Chief
Guest and Mrs Corine Rasquinha, founder and president of White
Doves, was the Guest of Honor for the cultural evening. Rev. Fr.
Wilfred Rodrigue Ocd, the Superior of the St. Joseph's Monastery
welcomed the gathering and presented the report.






At the
very outset Carmelite friars sang the chorus, along with a dance
performed by the students of Carmel Music school. Mrs Corine
Rasquinha released a Konkani book, named ‘Kan Kan Kaniyo’, a
collection of nano stories, by Vincy Pinto Anjelore.






A Konkani
Play named, POST MORTEM was staged by ‘Carmel Kalakars’(Carmelite
Brothers) under the direction of Manish Pinto, Kalakul. The Play was
written by Fr. Jocy Siddakatte,OCD.
Fr. Ligoury Crasta Ocd proposed a vote of thanks. Fr. Prakash, OCD
compered the entire programme. Around one thousand People witnessed
the annual Cultural evening.
