Enriching the Youth: A Psycho-Spiritual Seminar at Infant Jesus
Church, Gorwa-Vadodara
On 11th August 2024, the Infant Jesus Church in Gorwa-Vadodara hosted a
transformative "Psycho-Spiritual Seminar" aimed at the youth of the
community. With over 70 enthusiastic participants, the seminar offered a
refreshing and enriching experience for all who attended.
The primary focus of the seminar was to promote a healthy and balanced
integration of body, mind, and soul, with Jesus Christ as the perfect
model. The discussions addressed the pressing challenges faced by
today’s youth, particularly the widespread issue of addiction to various
vices. Rev. Frs. Macson Dabre and Jovel Oliver, the speakers, offered
practical advice, introducing the concept of the "21-Day Cycle"—a method
designed to help individuals overcome personal limitations. However,
they emphasized that for Christians, this cycle alone is insufficient
and must be coupled with a strong foundation in prayer.
A key component of the seminar was the group discussions, which were
both thought-provoking and reflective, allowing the youth to engage
deeply with the material. The event concluded with the celebration of
the Holy Eucharist, presided over and preached by Fr. Jitu D'Monte SJ,
followed by the distribution of small tokens of appreciation to the
participants.
The seminar not only provided valuable insights but also fostered a
sense of community and spiritual growth among the youth, leaving a
lasting impact on all who took part.
