Grand Inauguration of Carmel Studios
Sing to him sing praises to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. (Psalm: 105:2)
The much awaited Carmel Studios was inaugurated at St Joseph’s Monastery, Carmel Hill on Aug 15, 2019 in the presence of Rev Fr Charles Serrao OCD, Provincial Superior of Karnataka Goa Carmelite Province. The guests of honor present on the dais were renowned Tulu theatrical artist Devdas Kapikad, Konkan Maina Meena Rebimbus and Sangeeth Guru Joel Pereira. Mr. Joel Pereira was felicitated for his contribution to the work of the studio. Mr.Devdas Kapikad said Late Mr. Wilfy Rebimbus has done a lot of contribution to field of singing in Konkani and has inspired him. He even said about the contribution of singing in literature filed and wished well for the success of the studio. Rev Fr. Charles Serrao said that Christian music has created a lot of impact on people. Carmelites in their own way have contributed to the field of music. Through music it is possible to spread the Word of God, opined Fr. Charles. Fr. Alwyn Sequeira and team had held the responsibility in planning up this studio, Fr. Wilfred Rodrigues, Director of Carmelite community welcomed the gathering and Br. Babush proposed vote of thanks. Fr. Prakash compered the program.
